December 5, 2023 – Dr. George V. Russell is the brand new chief of orthopedic trauma on the College of Pittsburgh College of Medication's Division of Orthoapedic Surgical procedure and affiliate chief of UPMC's orthopedic service line. Russell additionally serves as affiliate chief of surgical high quality and govt vice chairman of Pitt's Division of Orthopedic Surgical procedure.

Russell is among the nation's main orthopedic trauma surgeons and pioneered the clamshell osteotomy process, which is broadly used to right malunions, or crooked bones.
